The Digital Story has written their opinion on the G11 and the S90is, and also mentioning their current G9 and E-P1 cameras. Please note this is an opinion, not a review.

All apologies for the craziness with the template you have experienced the last 50 minutes. We have now switched to a two-column format. The main changes are complete.
There are two columns, the left column starts with a list of the RAWsumer reviews, followed by the latest posts here at the RAWsumer blog.
The right column starts with some basic navigation features, such as a link to the front page of the RAWsumer blog (HOME), links to the Contact and About pages and the RSS feed, followed by a Search box. After that, we feature the latest RAWsumer-themed headlines from the main noisy blog (1001noisycameras.com), followed by the RAWsumer deals from the Camera Deals blog (NoisyDeals.com), and followed by a list of the latest posts from this blog (RAWsumer blog).
The remaining boxes are the same as they were on the previous template of the blog, but they may look different because there is only one column. We will fine-tune those over the next few weeks.
If you have any feedback or suggestions for this update, please leave a comment or contact us. There's also a poll right below:

We will convert this blog from a three-column to a two-column format. This will give us a longer sidebar which will make it easier to read the RAWsumer headlines from the other Noisy blogs, in an attempt to bring out more of the RAWsumer-related topics we write.
This should take about an hour, but just in case there are issues, you can always read the full-text RSS feed with your favorite newsreader regardless of the status of the blog. So be sure to subscribe to the RAWsumer RSS feed, or at least keep the url handy just in case.
We'll post an update once the update is completed :)

The tech sites are starting to post Canon G11 in waves as their reviews are easier to complete than the longer and more detailed reviews at the traditional camera review sites. The latest G11 review comes from Tech Radar.
One more review has been posted for the Canon G11, it is a short review at Pocket Lint. A very short review, so don't put on your pixel-peeping apron on :)
You can see more G11 reviews at the Compact Reviews Organizer which of course includes most of the RAWsumers.
Because of the waves and waves of exciting cameras, some of the new models of 2009 has fallen below the radar. One of the cameras in this situation is the Fuji S200fs, but now it is getting some of the spotlight as CNet Asia has posted their review of this RAWzoomer!
As you may recall, with this model, Fuji went to a 1/1.6" SuperCCD-EXR, versus the 2/3" sensor of the S100fs. This probably makes this easier in terms of logistics for Fuji as they have fewer sensor sizes to worry about. But they did launch a 1/2.4" SuperCCD sensor as well for the fun-zoom F70-EXR.

We have just created a review cluster for the Canon G11 featuring the current reviews of the camera. As you can see in the "RAWsumer News" block on the right side of the screen, Luminous Landscape has just posted their review of the camera!
If you look at the top of the right side of the RAWsumer blog, you will notice two new items added. We are pulling in the RAWsumer-related updates from the Main Blog (1001noisycameras.com) and the Camera Deals blog (noisydeals.com).
We hope this makes it easier for fans of RAWsumers to keep up with RAWsumer-related posts on the other noisy blogs.
Later on (maybe tonight), we will also change the sidebar to have one giant column, instead of two short ones. This will make it easier to read the headlines. We'll post an update before we start changes. And in case there are any issues with the template, you can always read the full-text RSS feed which is hosted separately on Feedburner.

A brand new review of the Ricoh GRD III is out! Check it out at Radiant Lite. The GRD III is a relatively unique camera in today's market, however, the launch of the Canon S90is at nearly half the price would have been putting a lot of pressure on the GRD III, but the GRD III was already a special-interest model to begin with.
Speaking of the S90is, we just posted a new round-up of the latest action, including samples, reviews, opinions, the flex-issue, and more!

Canon's forgotten born-again RAWsumer is getting a share of the spotlight today as one of the two major camera review sites has just published its review. Check it out at Imaging Resource.
The SX1is has had its troubles, being priced well above all other RAWzoomers, even the Fuji models that have larger sensors. The other problem it has been facing is that its Canon CMOS sensor raised expectations, perhaps unrealistically, and when the first samples and reviews came out, there was a letdown.
So now that Imaging Resource has put it through the paces, what else did we learn? No spoilers here :)

If you missed it, be sure to check it out! Laurence Matson, a very big fan of the Foveon technology has given a 30-minute interview on Foveon and Sigma to the Imaging Insider. You can listen to the interview online, or if on the go, you can download it as an mp3 file.
If you are interested in Foveon-based RAWsumers, this is a must-listen interview!

As of Tuesday October 20 at 5:30pm EST, Amazon herself has sold out and the price is now back to the "limited availability premium" of $560+. The original post is after the jump.
She is back! The black Panasonic LX3 is (surprisingly perhaps) in-stock and shipping from Amazon.com itself for $500 with free shipping and handling. Oh my!
Please note that the price and availability is not updated automatically, and it is as of the time of writing!
For more on the camera, be sure to check its list of reviews and diary.

Ricoh UK is launching a new promotion offering the lucky winner a brand new GRD III digital camera. Considering that the majority of people out there are interested in the "big names", it increases the chances of winning for Ricohphiles. Details via the Digital Photographer magazine.
The Canon S90is may end up being the break-away hit of this RAWsumer season and for those looking for it, J&R World currently has it in-stock and shipping for $430 plus shipping and handling.
Update: A number of other retailers including Amazon herself have the camera now in-stock and shipping. You can check them all out at the S90 stock-status matrix.
Please note that the price and status and text of the blog posts cannot be updated automatically (we do not have advanced artificial intelligence technology), so the stock-status may be different when you check this.
For news and round-ups on the camera, be sure to check the S90is mini-blog at the main Noisy blog.

Because of the waves and waves of new cameras, it is very time-consuming to post every related update both here and at the other noisy blogs. So in order to improve efficiency, we are going to put the RAWsumer-related updates from the other noisy blogs (main and camera deals blog) at the top right corner of RAWsumer. That way, you can keep up with the other updates from this spot.
The RAWsumer blog will continue as it has been doing in the last few months, featuring RAWsumer-related stories that are not posted on the main blog.
We'll implement the updates when we can find some time to do so!

A brand new review of the Canon G11 has gone live, it is posted by Rod Lawton at the CNetUK website. This is a two-page short review, and as usual, our lips are sealed on the findings.
For more G11 action, be sure to check the G11 mini-blog at the main blog.
The G11 is currently shipping from B&H Photo for $500 plus S&H.

First it was select Best Buy brick and mortar stores, now it is the online retailer world! Two retailers are currently shipping the camera for just a little bit less than its starting price of $430. We keep track of them, along with new sample pictures and reactions, at this S90is alert on the main blog.
You can also check our previous coverage with the S90is mini-blog.
As of Monday October-12 at 4:20pm EST (oh my!), the camera has sold out. You can keep track of the status updates at the recently launched S90is stock-status matrix.

Zoom! Zoom! CNet has just posted their review of the Panasonic FZ38, a 2009 model-year RAWzoomer that follows up on the tradition of the FZ28! We won't reveal the findings here, so be sure to check out the review!
For more reviews on the camera, be sure to check its list of reviews at the Compact Review Organizer (permalink) which also includes most of the current and recent RAWsumers.
The best price at the moment is around $330, sold and shipped by Amazon.
SoCal retailer PopFlash is trying something innovative for those interested in the Ricoh GRD III and GX200. You can try the camera for one-week without any risk! You have to pay for the shipping fees to send the camera back and $10 to receive the camera. You will however be billed the full-price until you return the camera and get refunded for the total amount minus $10.
This is a risk-free way to check these two cameras out! Details at Pop Flash.
This special promotion is currently only available for US-based photographers.

Another RAWsumer review has come out! This time Fuji's megazoom, the S200-EXR, yes, the one with the SuperCCD-EXR sensor, has been reviewed by technology-network Digital Camera Review. The review is split into three parts, with the all-important conclusions on the last page.
As usual, we won't spill or spoil the conclusions here :)
The camera has been dropping in price, you can now get it for $505 at Amazon by Amazon itself, not by the third-party sellers. Look for Amazon as the seller in the "More Buying Choices" segment if you don't see Amazon herself as the featured seller.
The Ricoh GRD III is getting some more review-love! This brand new review was just posted at Steve's Digicams. Conclusions are long-winded on the "Steve's Conclusion" page, with a single-paragraph "bottom line" at the bottom for those who are really, really in a hurry. The sample photos are on the last page.

This is not restricted to RAWsumers alone, but the majority of RAWsumers are using the small compact digital camera sensors (1/2.3 or 1/1.7-ish), so you may find it interesting. It is a discussion of this very topic in the dpreview Canon Talk forum.

The Panasonic FZ38 (FZ35) has received a major review, just posted right now, at one of the top two review sites, at Imaging Resource. The conclusions are towards the bottom, and as usual, no spoilers here :)
You can check out the other reviews posted on the camera at its list of reviews on the Compact Review Organizer, which includes the RAWsumers. The FZ35/FZ38, which has been flying under the radar due to the waves of new and curiousity-inducing cameras, has already received reviews from DC-Resource, Camera Labs and a couple of CNets.
The camera goes for around $330 at Amazon, sold and shipped by Amazon herself. Third-party sellers have it for a bit less, such as 17th Street Photo.

The Adventure Nomad blog has posted a nice review of the Panasonic LX3, sharing their experience using the camera for their various adventures. In this particular instance, mountain climbing is the theme of the review. Be sure to check it out!
Wouter's 28mm blog has finalized their Ricoh GRD III impressions, with more on the camera, the GR-series, and of course, plenty of black and white pictures taken with the camera!
The review has been added to the list of reviews for the camera at the Compact Camera Review Organizer.
